Subject: Family History Pilot!!

So a few things to tell you this week! On Monday we had Zone Training Meeting and had some really awesome things that were brought forth but the one thing i want to share with you is work considering Family History. Our mission in South Africa has been chosen to do a pilot project with Family History work to see if it brings about anything. Now the interesting thing about this is three weeks ago my trainer and i were praying about what other things we could do to find people either street contacting or tracting. and the answer we got was to do family history work. We had one lesson with our most powerful investigator concerning stories about his ancestors and he soaked it up like a sponge. He loves the idea of being able to trace your ancestry back hundreds of years and find out where you came from. The people here love learning about family which i think is awesome. Training has been going super well. My trainer actually thought of something that has been really useful. He has a voice recorder and we have been recording when we do teach one another a principle. It has really shown us what we need to do better so our investigators understand what we are teaching them. Also My trainer showed me the mangoes that grow here in africa. The only way i can describe it is think about how big a softball is and that is normal size. They are pretty massive. well thats every thing this week. Love Elder Payne
