Hey family!!

From the picture you sent me with shaelyns car it looks like you took out the garden fence. And yes i do know Elder Webb and he has mentioned to me as well that he has relatives back home who are Payne’s so we get excited when we have the chance to speak one with another. Plus… who is alexandra again? haha im really not sure.

So this past week was transfers, but i will be staying and finishing the training with Elder Agabu so i will be in Thaba ‘Nchu for 7 and 1/2 months and in the Bloemfontein zone for thirteen months. Im actually really glad i get to be here for such a long time though, because it means the people who we started teaching last year are either baptized or not. This weekend we have a baptism coming up of probably one of the most powerful investigators i have ever taught. Then in another few weeks we have more baptisms lined up, so there is a lot of progress happening in the ward.

It was funny as well when i found out i was staying, because that means i will be having my birthday here haha. I told some of the members in the ward “i dont want any thing special this year. I would appreciate every member giving me a brick. I have been in this area for so long that i may as well start building a house so i have some place to come back to after im done with mission.” They all get a laugh at that but at the same time im a little serious. This place has become my second home haha.

Hey family!!

My new companion is from Zimbabwe and he is a very hard worker which is fantastic. And i never did motag. what is it?

(personal notes to family) …

But this past week was great. My companion and i found 42 potential investigators this past week, so this week we will be teaching alot more people than i think we ever have my whole mission. We will be extremely busy haha which is good. I would rather be to busy, than not busy enough. At times it doesnt even feel like we have time enough to eat, but i know its important, so we continue to try and find time to chow something.

In a few weeks we have some baptisms coming up and the people who are getting baptised are very powerful investigators. Our bishop told us that he would be okay baptizing them like tomorrow, But i still feel like we need to be a little more patient and watch the roots of their knowledge in the gospel grow alot deeper.

… (more personal notes to family)

I hope your next week continues to be amazing!!

Hello family!!

This past week was pretty cool. (Elder Payne’s sister had her son recently.) When Lacey gave birth on monday i was preparing to give birth to my son on wednesday haha. He was born around Five in the morning haha. But because we had to wait for his bus to come in, that meant we didnt get to see our area until late wednesday afternoon. But ever since then we have been working hard trying to find more people to teach and to teach our lessons with Gods power. Its amazing how awesome things turn out when you rely on the Lord.

I really think now that, the reason why he gives us trials and experiences is because he wants us to become closer to him. But again its our choice whether or not we choose to find the embrace that he can so lovingly give us. And i think now the Lord wants me to become close to him. I know its a little bit weird but im grateful for the trials he has given me because they keep me close to him.

I was also talking this past week with one of the seniour couples and the discussion came up to how long i have been serving in ThabaNchu and also the Bloemfontein area. When i told them their jaws almost hit the floor haha. I mentioned to them something that another missionary told me a while ago which was “just know if you are staying in an area for a long time then you are doing something wrong.” As i said this The sister told me “Well you know Elder Payne i dont think that is true. If a missionary was doing something wrong then the Lord would move him right out of that area. I think why you have been here so long is because you are doing something right and continue to do the right thing!” After that i felt a lot better about staying here and continuing to do The Lords Work here. I know what we as Missionaries do is sacred work meant for angels. But for some reason he called us imperfect mortals to do his holy and divine work.

Have a good one

FAMILY!!

This week i found out that i am going to be training a new missionary! Its pretty exciting but at the same time i am really nervous. But i am glad that i have the best support system available… The Lord. Im going to be depending on him a lot more in the coming weeks. That is probably why he decided to give me this opportunity, so that i can get closer to him.

As for answering your questions or responding to what you have said… Im glad that shae is going on dates but weird that she found a guy who reminds her of me. My advice… Dump him haha one of me is enough in the family. Im sad to hear janessa hurt her back. Please be more careful. As much as you believe it true… You are not super woman, wonder woman or any other type of hero belonging to mythos. You are you. And there is no one better at that job than you. So stick to that haha. Mom and dad… Im glad to hear that you are both doing okay. Let me know how things go with laceys baby.

Have a good week all!!
