Things this past week were very great! My new companion has been telling me every day that i need to train a new missionary. I kind of told him things dont work like that, but if president and the lord want me to train them i will train.

Haha so this week has been really great. We did a lot of service and have been helping the members in our wards out as much as we can. We have been able to help two of our investigators progress very fast towards baptism. Its nice when they start getting excited about whats going to happen and want to visit with us every day. Haha the only problem is now that when they get baptized we have to find new people to teach. But im sure the Lord will provide for us. Our mission president has given us the goal to baptize Three people every transfer which every missionary has proclaimed as tough, but i have heard some good results about the hard work that we do and i know that it is very much possible for us to do.

I am grateful for the chance that i have to do this work and that i have been seeing alot of miracles and blessings in my life as well. I want to do this for a long time, but i understand that every missionaries service must come to an end at some point.

I love you all and i hope you have a very good week!!

Good luck in Nursery Shaelyn!

Hey Family!! Its crazy to think that THIS WEEK i hit my year mark. All the elder around me have told me that mission goes by way faster after the first year. I was kind of shocked at that because honestly… mission has already gone by fast. Every day seems to fly by but it wont slow down, especially now. Its kind of sad.

Also something ive been thinking about this past week… Since i dont have a visa to be in South Africa i cant even leave the country!! So if the time comes for me to go home, yet i still have no visa… I may be serving a longer mission than is normal haha Which i would be fine with!! I think the only person that would stress about that situation would be mom. So please Mom, stay calm haha.

So this past week was really good! On new years eve we were told to stay inside during the celebration, so my comp and i went to bed a little early. But around one o’clock all the firecrackers that were getting set off woke me up. It honestly sounded like the people in Thaba ‘Nchu were going to war out side!! Even later into the day you could hear crackers going off every now and then. But other than that New years was pretty uneventful. It was a pretty good way to spend the holiday haha.

Also My companion Elder Ng’ambi left me yesterday (sob) and i got a new companion by the name of Elder Willombe who is also from Zambia!! So this will be my second Zambian! Previously i served with him when i was in the Newcastle zone when he was getting trained, so we are already the best of friends. And that will make the work easy haha.

I just wanted you all to know though that i love you and That Heavenly Father Cares for you Very very much!! Stay strong in your callings and know that every thing good comes from heavenly father!

Have a good week!1

So maybe consider this Janessa haha. If you want people to respond to your questions in the emails dont say things in the email that would gross out the person on the receiving end. But i will humour you because i think you may just be doing it to be funny. The chocolate this side is pretty awesome. I dont know what it is that they do differently, but the chocolate here beats out canadian chocolate, hands down. Maybe our country should just stick to the things that we are good at!! Like making Genuine maple syrup and hockey!! Those should be the things that we excel at haha.

So this morning was kind of fun haha. … I guess like the day before we had eaten some bad food somewhere and got food poisoning. So we slept for a little longer, I hurled a little but and then we both felt much better and came to email!! So already today its been a success!!

And plus… since we are talking later in the week i think im going to tease you a little bit and tell you about my week FACE TO FACE!! i think thats a much better alternative anyways haha.

So just know that i am not dead, i am no longer sick and i am loving the missionary work!!

Have a good week and we will see you on thursday!!

2014 in review

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here's an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,100 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 18 trips to carry that many people.
