Hello family!!

This past week was pretty cool. (Elder Payne’s sister had her son recently.) When Lacey gave birth on monday i was preparing to give birth to my son on wednesday haha. He was born around Five in the morning haha. But because we had to wait for his bus to come in, that meant we didnt get to see our area until late wednesday afternoon. But ever since then we have been working hard trying to find more people to teach and to teach our lessons with Gods power. Its amazing how awesome things turn out when you rely on the Lord.

I really think now that, the reason why he gives us trials and experiences is because he wants us to become closer to him. But again its our choice whether or not we choose to find the embrace that he can so lovingly give us. And i think now the Lord wants me to become close to him. I know its a little bit weird but im grateful for the trials he has given me because they keep me close to him.

I was also talking this past week with one of the seniour couples and the discussion came up to how long i have been serving in ThabaNchu and also the Bloemfontein area. When i told them their jaws almost hit the floor haha. I mentioned to them something that another missionary told me a while ago which was “just know if you are staying in an area for a long time then you are doing something wrong.” As i said this The sister told me “Well you know Elder Payne i dont think that is true. If a missionary was doing something wrong then the Lord would move him right out of that area. I think why you have been here so long is because you are doing something right and continue to do the right thing!” After that i felt a lot better about staying here and continuing to do The Lords Work here. I know what we as Missionaries do is sacred work meant for angels. But for some reason he called us imperfect mortals to do his holy and divine work.

Have a good one

FAMILY!!

This week i found out that i am going to be training a new missionary! Its pretty exciting but at the same time i am really nervous. But i am glad that i have the best support system available… The Lord. Im going to be depending on him a lot more in the coming weeks. That is probably why he decided to give me this opportunity, so that i can get closer to him.

As for answering your questions or responding to what you have said… Im glad that shae is going on dates but weird that she found a guy who reminds her of me. My advice… Dump him haha one of me is enough in the family. Im sad to hear janessa hurt her back. Please be more careful. As much as you believe it true… You are not super woman, wonder woman or any other type of hero belonging to mythos. You are you. And there is no one better at that job than you. So stick to that haha. Mom and dad… Im glad to hear that you are both doing okay. Let me know how things go with laceys baby.

Have a good week all!!

Hey family!!

So this past week has been really great for me. Yesterday my companion and i gave talks in sacrament meeting about missionary work. He talked on the blessings and i talked on the consequences of not doing it. I was actually really kind of scared haha but it went great.

Probably five minutes before i was supposed to talk, i got the thought to read a scripture out of Matthew that talks about how christ came to divide households and how those who value friends or family more worthy than Christ are not worthy of him. After that i shared a quote from PMG by George Albert Smith that says if we do no tdo missionary work then we shall not inherit the Celestial kingdom. Kind of an eye opener for me haha. But it was crazy. I had written a talk with notes and every thing on what i wanted to say, but i just went with the thought or impression i received before i started and it turned out fantastic. Later at a members house My companion and i were told that our talk were very good and then they started questioning us and asking us what we said. Having not written anything down i couldnt really remember what i said, but we were able to answer her questions about missionary work which again was awesome.

I know that as you do missionary work you will be blessed and that Heavenly father is very happy when you do it as well.

I hope you all have a good week! … (personal notes to family)

Love you all!
