So as you can see i got my package!! The contents are wonderful and i love them so much! especially the scripture markers! those are going to make my studies alot more fruitful instead of using a highlighter that fades. The only problem is i have to remark everything ive marked since january but thats okay haha. Why in the world did you send that creepy laughing clown? i dont like it. but i know how i will use it haha. And yes i do have stinky feet. everyday when i take off my shoes my companion asks “did something die in here?” Thanks again for the package. i hope you enjoy what i sent you. And happy fathers day dad! as a missionary holidays dont really mean a thing. just another day to work. So this week My companion and i were very sick again. We went to the doctor and he told us to that it was probably because of all the dust mites in the blankets we have been using at night. so we stayed inside for two more days… I hope this is the only time on mission when i get sick because staying inside all day and resting is not fun at all. Nothing really big happened that is of worthy note other than i passed my five month mark and this is the last week of the transfer. I really love Elder Kelsey. He told me That his dad served in tennessee and one of his favourite companions was Tim Leavitt from Lethbridge!! small world eh? Also something interesting this week that i found out, we had a senior couple here called the Hulls that went home from there mission. Guess where their home was?? Cardston Alberta!! so maybe you should talk to them. Then also The Herringtons another senior couple told us That they know Philip Redd our stake patriarch! i was sad to hear that his wife passed away this week. But ya! Thats three people that are drawn back to our small Part of the world! i LOVE YOU PEOPLE! HAVE A GOOD WEEK!! Elder Payne

Dear Family At home!!Sawubona!! (zulu for hello) i absolutley LOVE ladysmith! there is so much work for us to do its ridiculous!! there hasnt been one day this past week that me and my companion havent been completely exhausted physically at the end of the day. We plan for the next day eat and go to bed just so tired. Its so nice haha i love it. We decided, Elder Kelsey and i that since the book of Enos is only one chapter long and is chalked full of faith and prayer, that it would make an excellent spiritual thought to share with less active families. They really seem to enjoy talking about it. The power of prayer is something that seems to spark the seed of faith really well. As a result we have been teaching some of the most spiritual lessons ive experienced on mission this far. its hard to imagine that you can replicate so powerful a lesson but i believe that we will be able to. I love Elder Kelsey and his hard working attitude. i feel like the work has been equally yoked between the both of us and as a result we are beginning to see real growth in the area even just in this past week. We are also planning to go to schools and do presentations on morality and discipline, so we have big plans in the works right now! I need to send you some more pictures i know but we havent had anytime to take pictures so we might do that today as well haha. Also this past week we had interviews with president zackrison which is always spiritual. I thought to myself that it is probably one of the most spiritual things you could do on mission besides going to the temple. I really love interviews. Ive received no package yet, but im planning to send one off today to you! For my birthday i just bought myself a pack of my favourite candy here and called it good. haha we have no time for nonsense like birthdays. But i do feel like im old. Fun Fact! Elder Kelsey had his birthday this month as well so we are practically birthday buddies! Also he has two sisters the same age as shaelyn and janessa! so he has one sister leaving Gr.9 and another that Is graduating from Gr.12! its Craziness for suresies. Well i think that is it for this week But i love you guys a lot!! Elder Payne

Family At home!! Hello from Ladysmith!! So big News today!! The first presidency has been praying for a long time about our mission and has decided to make Swaziland a part of the Mozambique Mission Starting next transfer. So that means all the missionaries that are currently serving in swazi are now a part of the Mozambique mission. Elder Reeves My trainer is in swaziland so i doubt i will see him for the rest of my mission. I will miss the man greatly. Also Elder Macmillan from red deere was in swaziland so he is having his mission changed AGAIN!! This kid has some serious plans in the works if he keeps jumping missions like this. I hope one day to meet with him in kenya. And Dad, Onstar is very simple. i wish i could sit down with you and help you figure everything out. But since im not there i will pray for you and your work. Im interested to know some of your experiences from your mission. And i would love to hear from Uncle Bryce telling me about his mission. I dont know how long i will be here in South Africa But i may as well make the most of it. This past week ever since monday has been interesting. On monday night a half hour before i was supposed to get on the bus to go to Ladysmith, i woke up and was incredibly sick (probably from the tripe or chicken feet) so i stayed in Bloemfontein for two days until the issue cleared up. I got a ride from Elder And Sister Carlile to ladysmith to meet my new companion Elder Kelsey from Utah. But i got into my area on thursday and i love it! the members here are really kind to everyone and this ward feels like a big family so i feel like i am at home. Not much else to share except Shaelyn im positive you will do amazing if you enter in for a scholarship. Janessa!! Wena!! you didnt email me!! im coming back over the ocean to shoot you in the foot with a rusty arrow!! HAHA!! VENGEANCE WILL BE MINE!!!!! anyways i love you folks. Have a good week! Elder Payne

janessa you make me giggle. But congrats on how well you did in archery!! i bet you could even beat Katniss everdeen in the hunger games. and i do use prayer everyday in my mission. its a useful tool and i suggest it to everyone. Shaelyn you sound like you need to eat some tasty chicken feet. they actually were not that bad and that is not how elder lafrance looks all the time. that kid is crazy haha. Dad just keep your head up above the water. if you feel like you are drowning just remember that the lifeguard can swim.
