Hey family!

This past week was again great. One of the highlights was with our investigator Brendon. These past few weeks we have been teaching him about the gospel and asking him if his family would be interested in hearing what we have to say. He told us “i would love that, but it would take some sort of miracle to get them home, for they are very busy.” And luckily on friday when we were teaching they were just showing up to the house as we were

preparing to leave. What held us back was an interesting question. “Elders… What can you tell me about your purpose as missionaries? I want to serve a mission so i want to know.” Imagine that! not even a member and already wants to be a missionary! We told him what Preach my gospel says on page one “Your purpose is to invite other to come unto christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in jesus christ and his atonement, Repentance, baptism, receiving the holy ghost and enduring to the end” After that his parents walked into the house and started asking us about the gospel and asking us if he could do what we do! So you could say this week we had some sort of miracle happen to us haha. It was very powerful being able to tell an investigator that he can and will serve a mission.

Also im glad to hear that you contacted elder michelsons family. thank you for doing that. Im sure his mother was happy to see another family with their son in the same mission.

Well thats about it for this week. I love you guys and i pray for you every day!!

Hey family!

Thats great to hear that christian (Burton) is home! Im so happy for him. When you can please give him my congradulations and love. I think he was the last friend of mine from around cardston that was on mission before i was. I now remain alone! Haha just kidding.

But some cool news! This past tuesday we had new missionaries come into our mission. Usually the standard is one or two from america (if not more) two or three from africa (often more) and then maybe a straggler from england if we have luck on our side. But in this group there was another special soul coming all the way from the frozen north of CANADA!!! I was so excited to hear another fellow canadian come into the mission, since Elder Faganello and i have been alone ever since Elder macmillan got reassigned to the mozambique mission. So for the first time in my eighteen months on mission we have been Blessed with another from our lovely country. Also as an added bonus guess which city he is from? Calgary Alberta!! I almost shouted when i heard this! When i go home i am definitely going to find his family. The thing is though he comes from the south of Calgary while i spent all my time in the North west and north east. But still he is close enough to home for me to see him when he gets home… In Eighteen months…. But its still cool!! Oh Also his name. He is Elder Michelson. I dont know how, but if you could find his family it would be power to the max!

Also i received a new companion whose name is Elder Frederick from cape town. What is interesting is that he started his mission in botshabelo when i was serving in botshabelo/ Thabanchu. So i already knew who he was which i think is a huge blessing to me!! He has started me to play chess after nightly planning which is a very great game. It has been teaching me to step back and analyze the whole situation before i jump into a bad scene or move. And you can apply it to the gospel. We need to be very careful in our planning as latter day saints, or else we shall be trapped by our own bad choices and feelings. So my counsel would be… Be careful and continue to polish up your skills on the basics of the gospel. There is unknown power in doing these things. Engage in the Work of the lord and he will continue to bless you.

Well i think thats it for this week! I look forward to seeing you all at christmas time, but i wont focus on it. Love you like always!

Hey family!!

So this past saturday was transfers!! I was pretty sad aboit this fact since i really loved my companion Elder Ncube, But im getting another missionary who i already know so it like im getting a great friend!! Also President has asked me to be a district Leader this next transfer. Im actually super excited about this because i remember how much Elder Kelsey loved being a DL. But also as some added responsibility i have been called as the Assistant to the ward mission leader. Ive done this in the past but yesterday while conducting a baptism for the other elders in my district I got the impression to read a scripture to the two young girls who they were baptizing. As i read the scripture that came to Mind (helaman 3:35) I felt also impressed to tell everyone who was present that they would be among the greatest leader in Kwamashu. It felt amazing!

I love my mission heart and soul and would not trade my tender mercies which i have received for any amount of wordly wealth, For i know that while the earth and the riches and the vain things of this world, The heavens and the eternal rewards i shall gain, will never pass away. I love you all and wish you the very best.

I also was fasting for … (a family member) this past sunday and now i have a calm assurance that everyone in the family will be okay as i continue serving the lord. I was worried last week about him, but no longer.

Have a good week all!!
